Saturday spent sitting - Sunday spent sitting.....

On the way down the hill...

Bit of a wordless picture today - the fog was making it look very spooky - looking down the Bosphorus, Taking T1 to the Metro as she is going for practice on the 'other side' - Asia. Schools competition this weekend.

"Mom, what are those big birds?" 

'Which birds?" (sky is EMPTY) "Albatross??"

"No, they fly in tunnels..."

"Owl"

"No, they are white, with long necks"

"Swan?? long neck owl??"

"They bite babies..... they have pointy beaks and are really scruffy at house making"

"Storks??"

"They were flying over school yesterday, making tunnels upwards, like a million of them"

"Ahhh.... spring is here!"

E group leotard - re-make

This is a re-make of a leotard that is a couple of years old - it was a set of 6, however one walked to Spain - the other got lost in London..... so 1 to re-make - 4 to unpick, re-design for growth and serious lycra failure - it literally lost all it's stretch. Then re-stitching and additional stones.
Re-making, or repairing leotards is awful, diligently trying to avoid stones that either shatter or break the needle.... sewing at turtle speed and tight corners to avoid unpicking the whole garment.... why? they have 1000+ Swarovski stones on each - serious ££.
I have 7 leotards in various stages - all due Thursday night.

Pink Cactus

This is the beginning of the Pink cactus - T1, says its more  like a palm leaf - I go for Christmas Cactus - the colour also. Competition in a week - leo needs to be finished by then.... Not for T1 but one of her club mates.
I work with paper.... apparently I should be using AutoCad - but then I need to learn it - and buy a mahoosive printer - and find space for it..... I will wait....
(yes - mahossive IS a real word)

This has been sitting for at least 3 years in the 'depo' - each time I have pulled it out to show as a potential leotard, noses have been turned.... but I have a 'free' order for 2 small leotards.... out this comes! at last, it will see light.

I hope to start posting daily again - one of my goals for spring. Lets see....
